Rockette:- Oldenburg NA, -/*/- SOLD- Reference mare
Bred by Sagamore Farms Rockette is by Riverman son, Reno (now gelded) out of the mare Lovely Girl, Winner and runner up in 2 World Cup qualifiers with Lynne Little.
Rockette was broken as a 3 yr old and put through her paces but it was decided she wasn't going to follow in her dam's foot steps as an international jumper so she was sold on. We were lucky enough to buy her after she produced 2 super colts for Trevelyan Farm, PA. Wrocketeer (2007) by Dutch New Forest pony stallion was top scoring colt and overall winner of his inspection at Hilltop Farm, scoring an overall 8.5 and declared a stallion prospect. Since gelded he has been sold to a professional dressage trainer as her personal horse.
Second foal Padrisimo was Premium at his ISR/Oldenburg Breed Inspections 8/4/08. Scores were 8.0 for conformation, 8.2 for movement, 8.0 for overall impression, giving him an overall score of 8.1.
2009 - Midori She just missed out on premium as it was the scoring 8.0, 8.0 , and a 7.9 for overall impression. She was at the unfortunate butt high stage at that time! We were thrilled when Midori was sold to a young lady on the USEF Developing Rider list in 2011. Unfortunately we were all heartbroken when Midori was lost to illness in 2012! RIP little girl!
Having had such a good experience dealing with Avalon Equine we were intrigued when they acquired the Selle Francais stallion, Edelweiss de Bonce
Although he had very few foals on the ground due to his busy competitive career we really loved what we saw and thought he would compliment Rockette not only in bloodline but conformation.
When we saw our little bay bundle born in 2011 we knew we made the right decision!
Estefania is not only beautiful, she is a smart, correct, airy mover with a temperament and personality you can only wish for. She scored an 8.2 across the board at her inspection and was high point filly.
Rockettes next foal was by the Holsteiner stallion Cor Noir a son of the the great Cor de la Bryere. Calypso Girl, a dark brown filly was sold as a 3yr old to the barn owner of the facility she went to get started. she was there only 2 days and a testament to her breeding was hacking out all around the farm in a couple of weeks. The owners husband has now taken over the ride and we hope to see Aly in the jumper ring before too long .
