Helping Horses Recover

We were asked to help with a young TB filly that had history of a leaking tendon sheath after her hock was injected due to a curb . The area was treated for several weeks  with various blisters etc. without any improvement.
We started a regime of once a day application of Active-Med PEMF leg wraps with an additional treatment of once a day Wave-Light using the pre-programmed "fluid under skin" protocol.

After 30 days the swelling was much improved and the area starting to shrink. She has yet to be re-ultra sounded as she has been turned out and we will take a look at her at that time. If you compare the before and after photos you can see the length and depth of the Curb has diminished significantly suggesting that the hole has healed, We expect further shrinkage of the area during turn out and will follow-up and see if further improvement can be made.
